Ordering and customization
How do I configure my battery clips?
Using the configurator. First, select your battery brand (you can choose multiple), then the battery types you have, and finally, for each person or logo, add a line with initials or a company logo. You choose the clip color and letter color separately. The price updates live, including volume discounts. The minimum order quantity is 5 clips.
I have batteries from different brands. Can I order them together?
Yes. In the first step, check all the brands you have. You can then specify for each name or logo which battery the clip is intended for.
How do I provide my logo?
Via the upload field in the configurator. You can upload as PNG, SVG, JPG, WEBP, HEIC, or PDF, up to 20 MB per file. A vector file (SVG or PDF) provides the sharpest result, but a photo or JPG is also acceptable—we'll prepare it for printing.
What does it cost to prepare a logo for printing?
A one-time fee of €30.00 per logo. If you use the same logo on multiple battery types, you only pay once; the configurator recognizes this automatically. If you reorder later with a logo we've already prepared for printing, please email us—that charge will then be waived.
Can I have any logo printed?
By uploading, you confirm that you have the right to have that logo printed. We do not print third-party logos for which you do not have permission.
How do I upload my photo for photo products?
There's an upload field on the product page. You choose your photo, it gets uploaded, and you immediately see a thumbnail for verification. After that, you can check out. You don't need to email us anything.
What makes a good photo?
The sharper the photo, the better the result—because a 3D model is made from it. Please note: straight from the front, good lighting, face clearly visible, no sunglasses or hat, and preferably a plain background.
Which characters can I use for initials?
Letters and numbers, maximum 4 characters, always in capitals. For example, JVD or BUS1. Emojis, punctuation marks, and special symbols cannot be printed; they are automatically omitted while typing.
The upload isn't working. What should I do?
Please try again first. If it still doesn't work, email your file to info@3dprintbyd.com with your order number. We will only start printing once we receive the file.
I made a typo. Can it still be changed?
Email us within 12 hours of your order at info@3dprintbyd.com. If we haven't started printing yet, we'll adjust it free of charge. If it has already been printed, unfortunately, we can't do anything—the product will have already been made with your text.
Battery clips
Will the clip fit my battery?
In the configurator, for each brand, we list the supported battery types with their type numbers. Check your battery for the voltage (V) and capacity (Ah). Please note: some batteries have multiple generations with a different clip, even if the type number is the same. If you're unsure, email a photo of the bottom of your battery to info@3dprintbyd.com, and we'll check it before you order.
My battery is not listed.
Leave your email address on the waiting list in the configurator, and you'll be notified as soon as we have a clip for your battery.
What do I need to mount the clip?
A Torx T10 screwdriver. This is not included with the order. Please note: opening the battery housing may affect the manufacturer's warranty on your battery. You mount the clip at your own risk.
Are you affiliated with Makita, DeWalt, or other brands?
No. This is an independent product from 3DPrintByD. We only use brand names to indicate where the clip fits; they are the property of their respective owners.
Will the text remain readable if the clip and letters are the same color?
Yes. The text is printed in raised form, so it remains clearly visible even with matching colors.
Delivery
How long does it take?
Delivery time is a maximum of 2 weeks. It is usually faster. For large business orders, we schedule in consultation.
What does shipping cost?
Within the Netherlands, €4.55 for a letterbox package and €6.35 for a parcel, free from €75. To Belgium and Germany €9.50. See the Delivery time and shipping page for all details.
Can I track my order?
Yes, you will receive a track and trace code as soon as the package is on its way.
Returns and warranty
Can I return my order?
Products made with your name, initials, logo, or photo are exempt from the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. This is not our choice but follows from the law: the product is custom-made for you and cannot be resold.
For products without personalization, the usual 14-day right of withdrawal does apply.
What if there's something wrong with the product itself?
Then we'll fix it. If something is wrong, damaged, or deviates from what you ordered, email a photo to info@3dprintbyd.com. Your legal right to a sound product always applies, even for custom work.
Business
I need more than a hundred.
Email info@3dprintbyd.com for a quote. Please state the quantity, battery types, and whether it's for initials or a logo.
Will I receive an invoice with VAT?
Yes. All prices on the site include VAT; the VAT amount is listed separately on the invoice.
The products
What material are the products made of?
This varies per product and is stated in the product description. For battery clips, you can choose between PLA Basic for daily use and UV- and heat-resistant ASA Pro for intensive outdoor use.
Can I get a color that isn't listed?
Please email info@3dprintbyd.com. Sometimes it's possible, sometimes we don't have that color in stock.
Can you make something that isn't in the store?
Often, yes. Send your idea to info@3dprintbyd.com and we'll let you know if it's possible and what it would cost.
